At the Safari 7 Base Camp closing party, plant ecologist Dr. Steven Handel, from the Weed Walk podcast series,  spoke about the hardiness and resourcefulness of New York&#8217;s &#8216;weeds&#8217;: plantain, sedum, and mugwort, among others.  With plants fresh from Queens in hand, Steven led a plant ID session and T-shirt giveaway.
