EVENT: Grand Central Terminal

School Groups Visit Base Camp

Safari 7 volunteers welcomed school groups from around the city to the Base Camp exhibit at Grand Central Terminal. Students came from K-12 and college level classes, after school groups, and ESL classes.

Students from the program High 5 went on Safari on the 7 train using our Educational Toolkit (complete with mp3 players, maps, and headphones).

Safari 7’s Helen Kongsgaard shows the map to students from Fashion Institute of Technology Graphic Arts students.

ARE YOU AN EDUCATOR? Safari 7 materials are loaned out to educational and public institutions in the NYC area. Hold an exhibition. Conduct a field trip on foot or by train. Host a workshop, or create your own transit Safari by making podcasts and maps. Your school, museum or program can use the Safari 7 educational toolkit to enhance science, art, or social studies curricula. Please contact us at info@safari7.org and see our educator’s guide here.
